Here at Greenacres B&B, the Wagon is a self-catering converted fruit and veg railway wagon. It's a fully ventilated 10 ton load Mink D Model, built between 1927 and 1931 and used on the Weymouth to London line. It has been completely restored and turned into a comfortable, self-contained unit with space for 2 adults and 2 children (maximum age of 10 for one child due to size of bunk bed) and room for small tent outside*. It has a fridge and gas hob, full size shower and flushing loo. There is a TV with built-in DVD player. Bedding, linen and hand towels are not provided unless prior arrangements have been made at extra cost. The original hooks used for the chains for the fruit baskets are now used as coat hooks in the wagon.
* There is a small extra charge for pitching a tent.
Greenacres Bed & Breakfast is a renovated old farmhouse with flint stonewalls, situated in a smallholding of 12 acres. We are surrounded by beautiful hills and wildlife and only a few miles from the world heritage Jurassic Coastline.
