The Wagon

Here are some photos of 'The Wagon'. The Wagon is a self-catering converted fruit and veg railway wagon. It's a fully ventilated 10 ton load Mink D Model, built between 1927 and 1931 and used on the Weymouth to London line. It has been completely restored and turned into a comfortable, self-contained unit with space for 2 adults and 2 children (maximum age of 10 for one child due to size of bunk bed) and room for small tent outside*. It has a fridge and gas hob, full size shower and flushing loo. There is a TV with built-in DVD player. Bedding, linen and hand towels are provided. The original hooks used for the chains for the fruit baskets are now used as coat hooks in the wagon.

* There is a small extra charge for pitching a tent.
